Colour
Breathing combines many forms of holistic treatment, which have
been universally practised for thousands of years:
" The use of colour, which is a healing vibration in itself.
" The chakras-energy centres along our spinal columns-which
affect our state of health. These have been well documented over
thousands of years in Eastern and Indian cultures.
" Focus on the breath, used widely in many meditation practices.
" The use of the affirmative words, "I am." Affirmations
are positive statements which may affect the way we feel.
By using the set of the Colour Breathing Disks, self relaxation
becomes easy:
" You don't have to "think of a colour" in order
to relax yourself, as in creative visualisation techniques. You
already have a set of seven Colour Breathing disks on which to focus.
" Each disk has been specifically designed to relax each chakra
or area of the body.
" You focus on your breath whilst looking at each disk and
breathe the colour in and out.
" Without realising it, you are working with your body's energy
centres and are able to relax yourself into a meditative state when
needed.
The Colour Breathing disks have also been found to work on a subliminal
level - you don't even have to consciously try to practice Colour
Breathing - keep a set next to your computer at work and give yourself
a break from looking at the screen and "take in" your
chosen colour! Their vibrant, yet calming colours have also been
found in trials to help people concentrate and think more clearly.
What does a group session involve?
" You will each sit with an Easel Board Book in front of you
containing all the coloured discs and will look at each of these
colours in turn.
" We will then briefly talk about where the energy centres
are along the spine and colour corresponds to.
" We will do a short grounding exercise and become aware of
their surroundings.
" We will then either use the Colour Breathing C/D or I will
use the music C/D and read you through the exercise.
" We will start with the red disc, we will breath in and out
the colour and some positive affirmations will be incorporated into
the wording. We will end on the Magenta Disc. You may wish to place
your hand on the energy centres as we move up the body.
" We will then protect and ground ourselves.
" You will then slowly be brought back into the room.
" You will then drink some water and have chance to discuss
anything you felt (optional).
What does an individual session involve?
" The client has the opportunity to choose the affirmations
used for their own individual needs.
" We spend time noticing reactions to colours, how they make
the client feel and how much they like the colour. We will also
look at what the colour reminds them of and what they like or dislike
about the colours.
" We then make our all assessment of the colours looking at
reaction, enjoyment and how relaxing colours are, looking at highest
and lowest scores. This can give a good indication to the clients
well being.
" We then follow the same colour breathing routine as used
in the group sessions.

Group Sessions £7.50 a session / Time 1 Hour.
One to One £30.00 / Time 1 ½ Hours.
