Counselling.
Counselling is used to help the client to focus on their past, the feelings and emotions attached to it, to look at how the past is affecting their life in this present moment. To help the client understand their feelings so that they can make decisions that are right for them. The client may have come because they are dissatisfied with their life and do not know why. They may have suffered a trauma which they wish to deal with and may wish to dissolve old pain associated with this trauma. Counselling can help you develop new skills which allow you to cope better with life. Counselling is about having time to talk things through in a relaxed way, without people judging you and telling you what to do.
