Creative Visualization

Creative Visualization is a form of sound thinking (positive thinking) that can promote positive change.
In 1920 a theory was developed to suggest that dis-ease might be caused predominantly by misdirection or misinterpretation of information perceived by the mind, which then manifested itself as a malfunction or dis-ease in the body and its immune system, this theory was named 'psychosomatics'. Psychosomatics is the ability of the mind to create a state of dis-ease through negative thought patterns.
Psychoimmunity is the power of the mind to prevent and alleviate dis-ease through positive thinking and creative visualization.
Louise Hay philosophy is that 'dis-ease can be healed if we are willing to change the way we think and believe and act' in her book (You can Heal your Life).
We tend to live our lives the way we are expected to, we tend to people please, think within the box!
We all have the ability to create our own reality, to think outside of the box. We all have the same right as anyone else to use the Universal Law of Attraction!
It is listening to our inner self, our gut feelings and intuition, looking inside for direction, rather than rely on outside for help.

 


We need to:

" Think about our needs.
" Observe our own habits.
" Listen to our feelings.

It is believed that stress and un-resolved anger are key critical factors of onset dis-ease. When we people please and become the likeable person we are not being ourselves, following our own heart. Over a prolonged period of time this can lead to exhaustion and weakening of the immune system.
There are four negative personality traits that make a person prone to illness, these are:

" A tendency to harbor resentment.
" A tendency towards self pity.
" Difficulty in developing and maintaining meaningful, long term relationships.
" A poor self image (lack of self worth and self esteem).



What can a Creative Visualization do for you?

" You will be equipped to modify or change some circumstance in your life, so you are in control of your life, rather than life in control of you!
" A new sense of well being and more pleasure in life.
" Our dreams and goals can be brought into reality.
" We start to listen to what we want, rather than what others want of us!
" More self worth and self esteem.
" A feeling that dreams are no longer just dreams, they can become reality.
" You will feel more connected to yourself as a whole, you will look at you as a whole a mind, body and spirit, all areas in your life as a whole rather than this is work and this is play etc.

 



How does Creative Visualization Work?
We need to look at our life as a whole, think of the parts contained in it.
" Our Home Life.
" Our Work.
" Our relationships to those around us.
" Our free time (Hobbies etc).
" Our personality.
" Our skills.
" Exercise.
" Beliefs.
" Experiences.
" Self Image, self worth and self esteem.
" Finances.
" Health.
" Plans and Goals.
" How we see ourselves and how others see us.
" Yourself as part of the universe.
" Emotions.
" Education.
" Attitude.

Do you merely exist rather than live? Then change your script in the areas of your life that you are not happy with!
Think!
What do we wish to achieve from our life?
What do we want?
How can we achieve it?
What stops us getting what we want?
Fear of change (physical, mental and emotional process)
Fear of the unknown.
Fear from childhood is fed into the mind and accepted as a fact, without regard to logic or later learning, this is fed into the unconscious or subconscious mind. We need to learn to re-programme the unconscious or sub-conscious mind, to allow you to overcome your fears.
We need to learn to own the emotion; we need to remove the organic response with relaxation and positive thinking, as without it there is no perception of danger the sensations that create the feeling of fear.
The patterns stay in the mind until they are challenged by the new adult mind!
Emotional patterns limit our performance and progress, restrict and hinder us.
When our thoughts and attitudes are negative, you are negative.
When your thoughts and attitudes are positive, then you are a positive person.
William James "Human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitude."
You can think yourself as a failure and unhappiness or you can think your way to success and happiness.
You can think yourself into situations and you can think yourself out of them!

How can I change?

" Change old patterns of negative thinking.
" Change old habits.
" Change old attitudes and fears.
Self-belief + positive affirmation + visualization =
I believe + I can + I will = I do.
Change through:
" Changing negative into positive.
" Rejecting childhood programming and get rid of misconceptions.
" Positive motivation.
" Getting rid of fear.
" Positive affirmations (I can and I have).
" Learn to set concrete goals "I have……." As if you already have and are doing it!
" Build your self worth and self esteem.
" Use more creativity in our lives, new ways of looking at things and a different perspective.
" Remove any block that stops our creative potential.
" Use daily affirmations.
" Use creative visualization, see what you have (would like) and see you living that dream, adding relevant positive emotions, using your senses, affirmations.
" Hold onto the vibration that of the desire that you want, do not stop believing it will happen, stay positive and in that space.
" Make sure you have changed your thought pattern to allow the good things into your life and believe you deserve it.
" Keep your dominant thoughts the ones matching your desires!
Relax.

Visualize.
Experience.
Feel.

In one of the most well-known studies on Creative Visualization in sports, Russian scientists compared four groups of Olympic athletes in terms of their training schedules:

" Group 1 = 100% physical training;
" Group 2 - 75% physical training with 25% mental training;
" Group 3 - 50% physical training with 50% mental training;
" Group 4 - 25% physical training with 75% mental training.

Group 4, with 75% of their time devoted to mental training, performed the best. "The Soviets had discovered that mental images can act as a prelude to muscular impulses."
Creative Visualisation Session, what it involves?

" We will look at all the areas of you life and see which areas you are happy with, which can be improved and which can be changed.
" We will work on positive thought and affirmations.
" We will look at 'The Universal Law of Attraction' in more detail and how it works and how to use it in your everyday life.
" We will set goals and long term plans.
" We will do a visualisation of already having our goal.
" I will then offer the support and guidance, to help your overcome the difficulties that arise along the way (Our mind will try and sabotage our new way of thinking as negative emotion is stronger than positive emotion, as it plays a larger part in the world around us, e.g. news, politics, parenting, workplace etc).
" I will help you stay focused on your goals, help you see them unfolding (sometimes they unfold differently to how we expect and we tend to miss them) and how to incorporate these manifestations into our life.
